An Evening In Denver

Last week before I headed to California, Jarad and I spent the evening in Denver. We had the idea because my great friend, Geri had a layover at DIA on her way from Salt Lake back to her home, Maryland on Friday afternoon. Because my flight to California was the next morning, we decided to make an evening of it.

But first....we got to meet Hazel!

I got in some snuggle time while Ger took a potty break.

Oh and she is SOO adorable!

We got some snacks and chatted with Geri until it was time for her to catch her next flight.  I am SO glad that you had a layover Ger, especially I'm not in Salt Lake anymore to see you when you go see your family! It was so great to see you and meet your adorable little Hazel! Anytime you fly and have a layover (or just want to visit Denver), count us in! (Maybe next time we'll get to catch up with Seth too)

After saying goodbye to Geri, we headed to our hotel. Thank you Hotwire for a sweet deal!

A cool elevator picture thanks to my hubby.

After settling into our hotel room and relaxing for a bit, we decided to head out to dinner.  Close by was one of my favorite places! (Thanks Jar for going even though it isn't your favorite place!)
After dinner, we wanted to get in some pool time. We headed down and what we thought was a hot-tub was a kiddie pool and then some thunder and lightening started in so we only put our feet in the pool for a few minutes before heading back to our room.  Sad days!

Can't you tell how sad we were?!

Since it was storming so badly, Jarad tried to catch some sweet photos.

We had a great time seeing an old friend and getting away for the night. Now, it was off to California!

She is super cute! Looks like you guys had fun minus the lack of a hot tub!
