Halloween-ness

Our Halloween celebrations were pretty low key this year.  But one tradition we couldn't do without was carving pumpkins!

We had our friends Joe & Cara over to join in on the tradition.

 Jarad and his scary jack-o-lantern!

I did something a little friendlier...

Joe & Cara had a mass of tools and patterns to share- and good thing- we sure needed them!

Our finished pumpkins all lit up~

 Mine...Halloween-esque

 Jarad's...spookiest

 Cara's...friendliest

Joe's....most complex

Halloween weekend our ward had a trunk-or-treat.  We didn't plan ahead very well but the night before and day of we came up with (copied) this!

It turned out so cute and it was so easy! I made the teeth and Jarad's artistic skills contributed the eyes.

Blessed Niece

Our sweet, niece Reise was blessed by her Dad (my bro!) and we are lucky enough to live pretty close so we could attend her special day.

Some of the fam- Dad, Mom, Lori, Kev, Reise, myself and Jar (Linds and David, Mel and kids were missed!)

Proud Daddy and Mom! Reise looked so beautiful in her blessing dress and was a sleepy angel the whole time!!

CC Date Night

Jarad won tickets to the Colorado College hockey game from work.  SWEET! Free date night!

We hit up one of Jarad's favorites, Buffalo Wild Wings- YUM!!- before the game.

Jarad said the tickets were good but we didn't realize how awesome they were until we took our seats...three rows from the ice!

It was a really good game and although we are avid hockey fans, it was really fun!

One of our favorite parts of the game was the pee-wee hockey! They were so small and adorable out there on the ice- chasing the puck around.

YEAH for date night with the hubby! They have been a sparse recently because of Jarad's crazy work and school schedule and I've really missed them and love spending as much time as possible with him!

New Pass-Along Cards

We've almost blown through our first set of 500 pass-along cards that we ordered last November. SO.....we had to order some more. We decided to try another design and Jarad so graciously (and so well, I might add!) designed one for us.  We also recently had some new pictures taken by our friend Megan that gave us new pictures to work with too.

Here is how they turned out!

 The front...

And the back! (the red bar on the left will actually be cropped out when the printing company prints it....but when you upload it you have to leave extra room for "cropping" instead of just letting them print how they are, which makes no sense to me but what do I know?!)

If anyone wants some of the new cards to "pass-along," let us know and we'll get them to you as soon as they arrive.

And here are a few more of our favorite pictures from our recent photo shoot.

This might be my absolute favorite! I love that Jarad's face is so normal and mind is so crazy! It's totally the opposite of how our pictures end up normally!

TOFW

TOFW = Time Out For Women = Feeling infused with the Spirit and spending time with great women!

If you ever get the chance, I recommend it to all women! Wonderful presenters (favorite- Emily Freeman), inspiring music (favorite- Hillary Weeks- Beautiful Heartbreak- I sobbed- seriously sobbed!), time with beautiful daughters of God and pure goodness for my soul!

My Mom took me and our friends Barbara and her daughter Rebecca.

Thank you Mom for inviting and taking me. I love you so much and am glad we got to spend the weekend together!

Happy Birthday Jarad!

Jarad turned 32! We've found as we get older that birthdays are slightly less exciting.  Weekday birthdays are lame too since as adults we have to work and go to school, etc.  However, we did celebrate with friends/family by taking Jarad out to Red Robin.

Happy birthday babe!!

Visit to the City of Love

We went to visit our old stomping grounds and were able to see both friends and Jarad's family.

We met up with Diana & Aaron and Robyn & Aaron and had some fro-yo!

The ladies- Diana, Robyn & Me

The gentlemen- Aaron, Jarad & Aaron- goofy as usual!

We stayed with Jarad's parents and sister and loved spending some time with them too.

Sienna let us sleep in her room.  I walked in on Jar & Sadie sleeping...

 Like dog....

Like owner! They were both sleeping with their arms/legs extended out.  Too funny.

Speaking of Sadie...she and Zoe reunited like they were never apart and played so hard that Sadie slept the whole two hour drive home.

We also got to watch General Conference and LOVED it! So inspired and uplifted and ready to rededicate ourselves to the gospel.
