One Year Ago

One year ago, on May 24th, Jarad's Dad passed away. It seems like yesterday and forever ago all at the same time. We miss him and think about what he taught us often. We had the oppurtunity to go up and visit his grave before we left Utah. It was the first time we'd seen his headstone and footstone.

Farewells

I have lots of posting to do about our last few weeks here in SLC but since our computer is in Colorado you'll have to wait another few days until I can upload pics and give you all the details.

But for now....we'd love for anyone and everyone to come and say goodbye to us! Tomorrow, Friday, June 5th around 7-ish...low-key hanging out and saying farewell!!! We understand many may not be able to come...sorry about the short-notice...this moving business is crazy!

Our new place

Like Ash said in her last post, we are moving to Colorado. We went out over Easter and found a condo that we really like until we can find a place to buy. I know, it's a bit redundant, but here is a little preview of the condo that we rented.

Bloggin- Hiatus

So, here is the REAL reason that I've been a huge slacker in my blogging duties! (and why I just had to post about 8 new posts because I am so behind!!!)

We are moving!!! Yup...Jarad and I have wanted to move to Colorado for a while, since the majority of both our families are over there. And everything has worked out and now is the time! We both have jobs there and are busy getting set to move. We went out over Easter (see previous post) and found a condo to rent until we feel out the area and decide where to get our own house.

We've started to pack and I have been madly scavenging for boxes. (tip for anyone else moving...check under the free stuff category on craigslist cause I hit the jackpot!) Our stuff will be moving over Memorial Day weekend (long story) and Jarad & I will be leaving the great town of Salt Lake on June 6th or 7th.

We'll be having a "come see us before we go" party of sorts but haven't quite figured out the date yet...but check back for the date/time because we'd love to see all of our wonderful friends, colleagues, family, and everyone before we go!!!

We'll really miss everyone here and the great city of Salt Lake! It's been home to me for about 8 years and Jar now for almost 4 years and we are grateful for the time we've had here and have the most amazing friends from our time here! But we are excited for the new adventure and we're sure (well Jar is and I am really hoping!) that Colorado will be as good to us as Salt Lake has been!

Bowlin' Them Over!

This past weekend during the flood rains we decided to hit up Fat Cats. Jarad and I used to go bowling all the time when we were dating and first married but haven't been in forever! And the saddest part is that we live half of a block from Fat Cats! Anyway...so we went with Jason & Amy and had a blast! The boys won the first game and it was a mix up during the second game. I lost to Jar by one point! (Only because his game was off...not because I'm great at bowling...seems to be the trend! Guess I'm just not super athletic!)

Tulip Festival
