Our Prophet

Last night, Gordan B. Hinckley passed away and joined his wife. He was the prophet for since 1995. He is the prophet I remember the most in my life and we have been blessed by his service and example. I won't remember every talk he gave, but I will remember a few simple things such as his smile, humor, and love of the gospel. We will miss him but know that he is home.

I have a fantastic husband! I asked Jarad to run to the store Saturday morning for a few basics- milk, eggs, etc. Upon his return, along with the basics I received a surprise!- Beautiful roses, just because!! I love him!!!

So we had Monday off! YEAH! But apparently the weather people didn't get the message, and as these pictures will show, it was dumping snow. In previous years I would be stoked about the precipitation, however, this year, for some reason, I am just over the snow. Anyway, as you can see, Jarad's car had a nice white covering as did about everything else!

Luckily, we got to hang out with some friends that evening- Chad & Tara. We went to dinner and to the movies. We saw Juno- it's a good one. So, having good times with friends made up for the massive snow that morning. All in all, it was a good day off!

Football & Family

Yesterday we went up the Jarad's aunt's house. We watched both NFL playoff games accompanied by chili and gaucamole (yummy...) and we played with the cousin's (Ang & Steve Morgan and Burke), saw Grandma & Grandpa, and held baby Brylee (so cute!). Thanks Amy & Steve for having us up!

Friday Night Red Rocks

Friday night we went to watch the U of U Gymnastics team take on Nebraska. We got to hang out with Tarina & Chris, Carolee & Tim and much to our delite we spotted the GIANT! And his cute fiance Shelley. It was fun to catch up and reminis about old memories. Of course the Ute's won- way to go Red Rocks! After the meet, we met up at T & Chris's house and watched the weirdest movie ever- The 'Berbs.

Here is our latest "family" picture. We took them for our Christmas cards in December and it was dumping snow while we took them....brrrr cold! But they turned out well inspite of all the snow.

Starting a blog...

Ok.....after some encouragement from friends and a new change to alot of "me" time (thanks to Jarad's new time-consuming job)...I've decided to try and keep up a blog. I don't know how to do it but I think it may actually be fun. I love reading others blogs and hopefully everyone will enjoy ours! We shall see how this goes... :)
